Why I LOVE Tuesdays...

Tuesday, Tuesday.
Why do I love thee?
  • Tuesday is clean the house day.  It looks and smells super clean.  At least until the kids get home.  (PS just discovered Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Aromatherapeutic Household Cleaner-LOVE it!).  I know you're thinking-you LOVE clean the house day?  I didn't used to, but since I love my house clean, I've learned to love the process. (word of that sentence was LOVE. Insert PeeWee Herman scream here).
  • Tuesday is husbands Bible study night.  I always try to make those boys a special treat.  The house smells clean and delicious. There are never any leftovers for me.  I'm not bitter.  That means they like it.  Right?
  • Tuesday is my Bible study night.  I get to worship, serve and fellowship at church with my sisters.  I can't tell you how much I love Tuesday nights.  Seeing over 100 women gathered together to study the book of Acts together fills my heart with gladness.
There are 10 or 12 small group tables with 10ish women at each table.  Each table is filled with yummy treats brought by a member of the group.   Women flow in between 645 and 715.  I try to look at their  faces as they enter.  How was their day?  What did they do?  How are they feeling?  Are they happy to be here?  How difficult was it for them to get here?  I pray as I watch them.  That each would surrender their days to the Lord.  That they would have open ears to hear the Word and transparent hearts with one other during discussion time.  That their joy would be made full in Him and that they would leave that room feeling a renewing of their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
I love Tuesday nights because it's a little slice of Heaven for me;  worshiping the Lord in Spirit and truth alongside those He's put on my life's path...   Hanging out and chatting way past ending time because I don't want to leave that room just yet.  LOVE IT.

I'd love to know what you look forward to during the week ;)

  1. Oh girl! This post spoke right to the depths of me. I teared up. Why? Because of the excitement it evoked. Because you are purposeful and intentional in receiving your fellow sisters in Christ in prayer. That you are inquisitive about what is on their hearts and minds as they enter the room. That you love THIS day and that you love OUR LORD!
Today is MY day. Tuesday morning I meet with the most incredible group of ladies at my lil' church for our Women's Bible Study (currently doing Max Lucado, Experiencing the Heart of Jesus). It is my most favorite time of the week. I look forward to all those things you just wrote. I look forward to leaving filled with joy. It {re}charges me and gets me excited for what is in store for the next weeks study.
And on a side note - Monday is my cleaning day and this girl loves me a clean house so I completely resonate with what you are saying :)
    Blessings upon blessings!

  2. Thank you sooooo much for this comment. It came right after I contemplated quitting the blog and asking God for some direction... Thanks for being an answer to prayer!
