Sunday afternoon I took the kids outside for a little impromptu photo shoot. I say that as if I'm some kind of photographer. Clearly, I'm not. But my dad was visiting and had his nice camera, so I wanted to get some cute pictures of the them. I had been waiting all day for the sun to come out from behind the clouds and it finally did, just as we were getting dinner on the grill.
I started with just Lucy because Anthony was busy playing with a huge branch that had fallen off the tree in that crazy storm Friday night. At this point she's probably used to all the pictures so it didn't take long for me to get a smile. Can you call that a smile? A smirk?
Of course, no outfit would be complete without one of our newest creations, a Bloom Clip. She's used to wearing these at this point too. She doesn't even try to pull them off anymore...until we're in the car. If I forget to take them off before I get behind the wheel, they go straight into her mouth. Good news though! They hold up well under a steady flow of baby drool.
Once Anthony showed up, we had about 10 seconds before the whole thing started to unravel. Look at those faces. He looks like he's up to no good and she looks like she knows it! "Get me outta here MOM!"
Photo shoot dreams ruined.
But at least she looks cute with that flower on her head!
Sweet Floweret. Making all of your dreams of becoming a photographer come true. For a few seconds anyway.
